Abstract
Prof. Rustam Shadiev will discuss how modern information technologies can be applied for English language learning. First, current issues in English language learning will be presented. Then related theories of foreign/second language learning will be introduced. After that modern information technologies and how they can be used for English language learning will be discussed. Applications of technologies to English language learning will be presented with respect to individual learning and learning in groups. Various technologies such as computer, web-based and mobile will be reviewed. In addition, several examples from recent research projects will be presented.
